Last Year - June 21, 2007

Their first day in London they toured Windsor Castle, Britain's oldest, continuously inhabited residence that is home to the Queen and her family. They also went to Eton College (a high school in the American sense) which is where several of Britain's Prime Ministers and members of the royal family, including Princes William and Harry graduated from. One of their requirements on this trip was to keep a journal so here is her journal entry from the first day:
"Our first day on our adventure! So many exciting things happened today. We finally landed around 10 a.m. (I never knew legs could be so happy!) It was so fun and heart pumping to look below and see all the cute little farms and the beautiful countryside of London. Yes, the pressure in my ears did almost kill me, but I am fine. We went straight through the passport check, then headed for baggage claim. Luckily, my purple suitcase with alligator style marking stood out as bright as day! Then we met our British delegation leader, named Miss Vickie. We couldn't wait to board the coach and meet our driver. Miss Vickie played songs for us as we all looked out the windows to look at the beautiful people and places of London. I almost cried because of how overwhelmed I felt. Next we headed for lunch. It was the cutest place. We all had noodles and then had apple pie for dessert. Yum! A perfect way to start off a trip. Then we went to Windsor Castle and saw many amazing sights. Then we came back for supper and now we are off to bed."
