Another Brag Alert!!

The track season is nearly over but it's been a good one. Brooke ran the mile and the mile relay this year. The past couple of weeks they have had two meets that were qualifiers for district. Brooke qualified in both at the first meet. This past week they were qualifying the top 8 and she came in 9th in the mile so she's done running the mile this year, missing it only by one runner!! :) But, at the meet for the mile relay her team qualified to move on to district competition. They came in 3rd. So, tomorrow morning there is a special breakfast for the district competitors. (Brooke is one of only two 7th graders who qualifed for district. The other teammates on the relay are 8th graders.) Several 8th graders qualified for various other events but they've had one more year of running than these 7th graders. Thursday will be the district meet where her team will run the mile relay. We'll keep you updated!
