The Conclusion: Last Year - July 1, 2 and 3

Well, the 2 weeks she was gone last year didn't go by this fast, I'm sure!! Here are their activities of the last 3 days they were in France.

July 1 - The most dazzling view of Paris is, of course, from the top of the Eiffel Tower. It was built for the 1889 World's Fair to commemorate the centennial of the revolution. It is 899 feet tall and it was the world's tallest building until New York's Empire State Building was completed in 1931. Brooke got some awesome pictures in front of and from the top of the Eiffel Tower! They then went on a riverboat for an afternoon cruise along the Seine where they saw more of the famous sights of Paris. They saw a small replica of the Statue of Liberty among the monuments near the river. Lady Liberty in New York was actually a gift to the United States from France to symbolize friendship. That night they traveled to their last hotel of the trip. It was a Disneyland Resort. The pictures look like no place I've ever stayed before! :)

July 2 - Today they had a full day of adventure and fun at Disneyland Paris! The park is divided into five themes that relied heavily on Hollywood nostalgia but still had a unique and surprising European feel. They had lunch at Planet Holleywood there in the park. This day was amazing for a little girl who has never even been to Florida or California Disney. I told her not many people go to Disney Paris BEFORE going to one here in the states! ha

July 3 - Today they packed up their suitcases for the last time and boarded the coach for the airport. On this end we were all so excited to see them again! We got to the airport way early in our eagerness! When the ambassadors walked into the terminal you could likely hear the parents cheering for miles away! There was no hug like that first hug in 2 weeks!! We stayed up late that night listening to the stories and looking at the souvenirs and just soaking it all up!!

Very intersting again. I really enjoyed reading about her trip in short story form, commonly called the Readers Digest version. I am sure it is a trip she will never forget. Maybe this is the year you should go to Disney Land USA. ha Cheaper and not as far.
